Artist Name: GANZI

Tell us something about you that fans should know:

As an artist I am constantly going through trial and error just to make the perfect piece of music. Rap comes natural to me so I do my best to express my art form by drilling on Hiphop beats. GANZI is heavily influenced by Grime and Drill. Some of my inspirations are Skepta, D DOUBLE E & CHIP. This specific approach to GANZI’s music allows for a cadence like no other, whilst speaking about his life experiences and incorporating afro vibes and trends on the music scene today.

Where are you from and what’s the music scene like there?

I am from Uganda, Kampala where the music scene is heavily influenced by Afrobeat and Dancehall vibes. Ugandans enjoy upbeat music with catchy lyrics and dancey energies. The New Generation of Uganda though has a sudden shift towards Hiphop and Drill music. Shoutout to creatives like Denesi, Chief, 1Der Jr, CXNRVD alongside the whole of Bantu Vibes for being a pioneer of the sound and pushing the urban scene to greater heights

How have your life experiences influenced your music?

Under Music Group Nimbus League, I had alot of mentorship from Sayejay who is a close friend to GANZI. He definitely showed me the roads on how to make some of my earliest music from 2016. GANZI is well traveled and social. This has allowed his network grow and build on his character. GANZI makes feel good music and its about expressing a vibe which is sort of escapism from the actual life going on in your day to day

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

CHIP, Burna Boy, Peter Miles and Menshan

Song Title: EWF ANTHEM
